First United Methodist Church Daycare Ministry is a loving and caring environment for your child. We opened our daycare August 2008, originally caring for infants only, today we are in our newly renovated facility dedicated October 2011 we are caring for children 6 wk old – 5 year old.

We have small class sizes for all ages, so we can give your child the individual attention he/she needs. Small class size lets our staff focus on each child's individual development and strengths. FUMC Daycare's program's a center based format for ages 2-5 that includes the following areas: art, block and dramatic play, story time, science & discovery. Our spacious, privacy fenced yard allows us to work outside just as much as inside, (weather permitting). 

This format allows the children the mobility and flexibility that creates a more flowing learning environment. The benefits from this structure include establishing a deeper relationship with their teachers and all staff, the ability to gain autonomy by making center activity choices, the development of cooperative skills, and learning that is based on individual growth. This layout also encourages positive behavior because that child is constantly engaged in new activities during the day. We understand the need for children to be able to move during the day.

Your child will know Jesus’ love by our actions. We will pray with your child, read Bible stories, and most importantly show them love in all they do.
